Flavors of Fall

Whether you are craving sweet or savory, we know you'll find some new favorite recipes! These options are perfect for football Sundays, comforting meals, and school lunches! Once school and sports are underway, it can be easy to feel overwhelmed with meals and snacks. Many of these options can be prepped ahead of time to make your weekdays a bit easier!

Pasta e Fagioli Soup

This Italian soup is full of nourishing vegetables and rich flavor! It will quickly become your go-to one-pot meal! The rich broth complements the pasta, beans, beef, tomatoes, and vegetables. Top with parmesan, and serve with crusty bread!

Cooler weather has arrived here in Maine, and we are enjoying all the wonderful flavors of fall! You will be feeling warm and cozy with each bite of these pumpkin muffins.

Apple Galette

Apple season is here in New England! We visited our local orchard before Hurricane Lee arrived to load up on our favorite apple variety, Cortland. It is the perfect snacking and baking apple! Galettes are beautifully rustic, take very little time to prep, and there is never the worry of a soggy pie crust! Our flaky butter pie crust can easily be made ahead as well!

Easy Bruschetta

Use up the fresh of those incredible garden tomatoes in our easy bruschetta! It is perfect for entertaining, picnics, or topping our Wood-Fired Bruschetta Pesto Pizza!

Honey Oatmeal Bread

I have been making our bread since 2015, and I absolutely love doing it! I started with simple loaves of bread and gained the confidence to experiment with my own recipes. Our children all have different "favorite" bread recipes, but our honey oatmeal recipe is one that is loved by all! Try topping it with our raspberry jam or honey butter and cinnamon!

Apple Hand Pies with maple glaze. A buttery, flaky crust.
Apple Hand Pies

Our apples are ripening, so we enjoyed cooking up our favorite hand pies this weekend! We have also shared a delicious maple glaze we started making during our syrup season! We grow two varieties of apples, Cortland and McIntosh. Cortland is our preferred apple for baking, but use your local favorite!

Wood-fired pesto-based pizza topped with jerk seasoning, chicken, ham, bacon, banana peppers, and cheese.
Howler Pizza

We love to travel, and experiencing new flavors is one of our favorite parts! There was one pizza shop we looked forward to visiting every spring. Their pizzas were unique, but every one we tried was a hit! We were disappointed to see they closed over the last year, so we wanted to recreate the recipe at home. The Howler, named by my husband, has a pesto base and is topped with cheese, chicken, jerk seasoning (trust us, it works), apple-wood bacon, ham, and banana peppers. We make a Neopolitan-style crust that rises for 24 hours before going onto our hot grill.

maple crunch granola with dried cranberries
Maple Crunch Granola

A batch of this granola will fill your home with an amazing aroma, and you won't be able to let it cool before digging in! We sweeten the recipe with our own maple syrup we make each spring, and a blend of nuts that makes everyone in our family happy! This is a great recipe for children to help with! We've given bags of granola as part of Christmas gift baskets as well!

Grilled southwest tortillas with an avocado ranch dipping sauce.
Grilled Southwest Egg Rolls

Our Grilled Southwest Egg Rolls are a wonderful addition to any get-together! They have the perfect amount of heat, and our cool Avocado Ranch Dip is a must! We love the elevated flavor we can achieve from using our Traeger Wood-Fired Grill*. You won't miss fried egg rolls once you taste our grilled version! This is our go-to recipe for feeding a crowd, or for football Sunday!

Bowl of beef meatballs in a tomato sauce topped with shredded parmesan and fresh parsley.
Sunday Meatballs

If you ask my siblings what their favorite dish from our late Grandmother was, it would be her meatballs! Hands down, they were famous in our eyes, and we have all taken a turn at trying to recreate her recipe. The tradition of Sunday meals together as a family is one that I cherish. I hope this recipe brings your family together for years to come!

I hope you've found some great new options for your family to enjoy this fall! Let me know what you think!
